Why A Bit of Sparkle Makes Us Feel so Good

We all like shiny, new things.  The way I design jewelry is to combine sparkle with earthy.  Or, as one of my clients would describe it as.....Sparkling Bohemian Jewelry. 

The goal is to make each piece timeless, not trendy and to combine unexpected color and shape combinations. This creates, in my mind, sophisticated whimsey with sparkle and earthy appreciated and worn by teenagers, young adults all the way up to octogenarians.  

So now, fast forward to the 2,000's and everyone, in one form or another, believes in some alternative understanding of self.  I've noticed many jewelry wearers will resonate with a birthstone, a healing stone, a rock or even an artifact.  It's not just about gold or silver, it's about crystals and many other stones like pink tourmaline, rose quartz, Amethyst and so many more.  Below is a list of those types of stones.  Look them up and see what YOUR personal stone should be, or which one is the healer.  Stones can bestow so many feelings, traits and connections that it's interesting to read who you are in gemstones.  What stone energizes YOU?

Energy is everywhere--even when you can't see it. Everything in existence has a vibration and at its core is energy.  There is a more basic way of sensing energy than with modern technology.  A long time ago, before our minds became cluttered with superficial information, intuition became the most powerful and accurate source of sensing ourselves and our environment. Our ancestors recognized there was power in certain gemstones and they began using them in amulets, talismans and more. The power of certain gemstones have been passed down from generations to generations. 

Different gemstones can possess varying levels and qualities of energy depending on how—and where—they’re formed. Geologic forces deep within the earth produce gemstones. They are in a constant cycle of transformation. Some form quickly from the heat and pressure of volcanic activity. Others are crystallized over millions of years in sedimentary layers near the surface of the earth so we can enjoy finding them on our own explorative journey.
